This unit we have learned about the Earth's atmosphere -- the gases that are all around us and some interesting facts about each of the layers that surround our planet. We've also learned that carbon is an important GREENHOUSE GAS. Just the right amount of it allows us to live on this planet, but too much (called GLOBAL WARMING) is not a good thing. It is caused primarily from burning fossil fuels and deforestation and is changing the Earth's climate.
